hope this at least clears up some of the mystery? I know it's sort of a crappy explanation, but it's what I got at the moment. I'm going to go get some sleep now. :3

Similar to making molds of fossils, I see :}. 'Cept we don't use air vents, and usually have to make an overmold out of plaster or plastic or something. Because you can't rubberband a mold for a nine-foot-long Supersaurus rib together and expect it to not leak everywhere XD.
