I'm sorry but I never ended up doing any casts or completing the project. :S  I'm glad you like him!

I actually sculpted his head out of super sculpey and apoxy sculpt. I usually use paperclay, but the way he's shaped, it was easier to use a much harder clay. Once I got him to the point that he was starting to get brittle I cast him and continued working on the new head with more apoxy sculpt. :3

hmm, ive tried using sculpey for bjds, but i just never liked the outcome...i could never get them as smooth and perfect as you have done here >,< ill have to try apoxy sculpt, never tried it.
curiously, will you be selling parts of these guys when your done with them? because one i love turians, and two id love a 3d reffrence for sculpting (im making a full on turian suit, including an articulating mask) and i work better off of 3d reffrences than 2d ((totally pre-ordered the garrus figurine so i could have something amazingly sodlid details to go off of >,<))
either way, this guy is gorgeious!

He's been sanded, that's why he's smooth. X3 I hate sanding SS, it takes forEVER. That's why I use paperclay most of the time. It sands super fast. Unfortunately I can't get a lot of the surface detail into it that I can with Super Sculpey- so for the turian I needed something that I could sculpt additively.

I have a few of the heads laying around if you'd like just the head. It's the first version seen here. The head isn't quite screen accurate(made the fringe/spines too short and the head isn't long enough from the side). Just send me a note. :3
